Meghalaya Lower Primary (LP) Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduation Route: Graduation with a 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education is also valid.

Candidates must also possess a valid MTET (LP) certificate.

Meghalaya Upper Primary (UP) Eligibility Criteria

For teaching Classes VI to VIII, the requirements are more stringent:

  • Graduation with D.El.Ed: Graduation and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

  • Graduation with B.Ed: At least 50% marks either in Graduation or Post-Graduation, along with a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

  • Relaxed B.Ed Route: Graduation with at least 45% marks and a 1-Year B.Ed, in accordance with NCTE regulations.

  • Integrated Courses: Higher Secondary with 50% marks and a 4-Year B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed is also acceptable.

A valid MTET (UP) certificate is mandatory for UP positions.
